KindHire helps people find work and helps employers hire fairly. To do that we handle personal information, including CVs. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have.
KindHire (kindhire.co.uk) is run from London, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information described here, which means we decide how it is used and are responsible for looking after it.
If you have any question about your information, email privacy@kindhire.co.uk.
KindHire uses AI (provided by Anthropic) to read CVs, check job listings, power Hiro and Wise and help employers write feedback. Fit scores compare the skills and strengths on a profile with what a job asks for.
Fit scores never use age, dates of birth, names, photos, nationality or any other personal characteristic. Nobody is rejected automatically: every decision about an application is made by a person at the employer. Employers see how long you spent in each job, not the dates, and only see your photo once they invite you to interview.
Under UK data protection law you can:
Your information is stored encrypted, access is controlled so people only see what they're allowed to, and CVs uploaded through apply links can only be opened by the employer you applied to.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
